I tried this on my free Ringplus 300/50 plan http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/1294344/?start=40  and it worked like a charm. First time I've ever had data and super easy to use. I so don't mind paying 2 cents/MB, barely making a dent in my top off.  I seem to get speeds better then my home wifi. I'm using the free version on my Sprint
Epic 4G but I may buy it later when needed. Ringplus will be bumping up the free plan to include some free data in December.

Any one get this to work on Samsung galaxys? im using a Samsung mega and it saying some crap about temp network problem. heres the error

There is a temp network problem that prevents the enablement of this mobile hotspot function. plz retry later! Grrrr I figured it atts way to keep u from tethering for free. Dam bastards

so any one has a s3 or s4 or note 2 or mega and gotten this to work and if so how?

I don't know why no one mentioned about carrier, make and model compatibility that foxfi published - http://foxfi.com/help/devices.php. I was wasted hours to try to get Sprint htc one to work. should read the list first.

I don't think that web site is up to date. I have jellybean.

I just downloaded the app from googleplay on my Samsung Galaxy IV for T-Mobile. Used it to place this reply on this thread

We shall see how long it works. I only went over over my unlimited cap & was throttled  once or twice when my home internet went down. But that was when I was getting it for free on my HTC Sensation. I was surprised that after one of the last couple of updates when I tried to go directly through my phones hotspot either on my old Sensation or the new Galaxy it asked if I wanted to upgrade to a tethering plan. But now when needed this will apparently work. Thanks OP will thumbs up for sure

How do I get this app

I have a version of foxfi that works with S4.

I have used FoxFi for some time on my Android phones, however, recently-AT&T advised me that I was not allowed to tether from my phone unless I paid for their hot spot data.  They obviously have figured a way to detect the tethering.

Am I missing something????

Foxfi has always been free.....
But the licence key is $7.95....

I do not see any mention of free "Key" for this...just the base package.

It's not free anymore for long term use.  PdaNet always cost money, so I guess since they are combined they are charging that fee.

does not work on the HTC
