All of the free office apps I tried (at least 4) showed these tables with solid-line borders. Smart Office 2 is the only paid office app I've tried and it renders invisible borders properly. So at least for that particular feature, yes it's better.

the supposed be all end all is officesuite pro.opinions on comparison (besides price difference, many of us got office suite when it was free on Amazon app store)? i see this app is similarly gargantuan.
