Economist for only $27 bucks a year. Is this legit?

369 = the count of hits on their homepage...

It is legit....I've gotten 2 subscriptions from them this year. They used to be exclusively on eBay, but I think this site launched pretty recently....maybe at the start of the month or something. They have their eBay links at the top of the web page, so you could always just bid one eBay and get a similar price I bet. Paypal is protection enough for me if I buy something and it doesn't come.

Barron for 6.50 for 6 months. Wall street journal for 13.00 dollars for six months. I would get these in a second but does not seem legit

The wife likes Martha Stewart Living for cheap on her last deal. I'd go for CPU. When a deal seems to good to be true.... Any others have positive experience here?

I have gotten playboy, maxim and wine spectator from them in 2011. Maxim took like 6 weeks to begin, but they said it could take up to 8. The other 2 started within 3 weeks or less.

I was curious about this site as well Wine Spectator for 10.50 for a year.

They only have 3 items on eBay.

Maybe your eBay preferences are set up to look in a certain category or amount of days, but I see dozens of auctions under them

Don't have my settings off pulled up directly from the link. They now have 24 items up but if you look at the times on them you will see 20 or so items were just posted as they are at 6 days and 23 hours. So not sure what you consider "dozens"? But like I said I am seeing 24 items as of 3:47PM.

In For MAXIM & The Economist

So I mention that at the time they only had 3 items listed on eBay so you gave me red for stating a fact?

I also checked eb.. and only 3 items were listed When this was posted.
I took a chance ordered if 4-10 weeks if nothing comes cc Dispute time.

Edit I see I got an email from service pp . com

Given that your dispute period for Paypal is only 45 days, 15 fewer than the chargeback period for a credit card and probably much less than the time it will take to activate your subscription (don't they usually state it will take 8-14 weeks to get your first issue?), how does Paypal offer you any sort of protection?

Hi lousygolfer Thank you

I used credit card not registered with pp.

I never logged in to my pp acct.

If I don't have both items I order by the 60th day I will put in a dispute with my credit card co.
I can always cancel the dispute if items arrive 10 days later which would be 10 weeks.

from: honestbuckeye home page
please allow 4-8 weeks for subscription to begin. 4-10 for WSJ

You respond in this thread as if you are just another FW member who ordered .....

Are you honest ?

Interesting helpnt. Thanks for that info.

Sort of misleading if they also said they ordered magazines and are the person actually selling them. Not sure how FW feels about that? Best of luck in getting your magazines it might all be legit but flags went up even mores now. Also I thought awhile ago eBay did away with people selling subscriptions so not sure how they are doing it on eBay.

Of course you'd see the same thing as your alternate account "clevekid1" -- or did you think we wouldn't notice that between all the cross-posting and green voting yourself?

It looks, based on the counter, that the page has had all of 800 clicks in its lifetime, to boot. How did anybody even find out about this site? It's not like you'd run across it on a google search. So strange... soooo strange. Hmmmm...

Turns out almost everyone who gave this green (or a testimonial) was an alternate account easily traced back to the proprietors of the site.

Tsk tsk.

Thanks for the quick response DevilMonkey.

I like some of the options as well but not feeling the reliability of it.....

JMU,

You did read here where their internet security sort of called them out on their scam? A couple of posts up from yours.

UPDATE: Pleasantly surprised to find Wall street journal outside door yesterday & Barron's today.

I guess Clevekid1 , aka FatWalletREBEL, PhilMccracki etc. Was just trying to get more traffic to his/her site & people to order.
