Thanks OP, finally went to $90 yesterday at the Albany, CA Target. About 6 left. Make sure you have a fast connection if you decide to upgrade the maps. Mine was the US/Canada version.

Price changed Yesterday in Irvine CA to $90 from 125 on Sunday. There were a number of them around the Irvine Tustin stores.
Nice display, routes faster than the nuvi 680 it replaced. Volume and sound of voice guidance is loud and clear. Updated firmware and maps tonight. It takes a very long time even with a fast connection. You have to remove a few of the voices to get enough room for the new maps. Really Garmin would it have killed you to put 4GB of flash instead of 2GB in a thing you sold for 200 bucks. Yes now they are being sold now for $125 at Amazon but an extra 2GB costs 2 bucks now as well.
All in all the really big screen and lifetime (okay for as long as the GPS works = maybe 3 years or so), is a good value for $ 90 regardless. While my phone does most of this nav stuff and its better when you can get network, its when you are in the middle of nowhere when you may need a GPS like the Garmin. In a few years likely google maps will allow the user to choose maps for in device storage and routing when off network, but until then a stand alone GPS is still useful.
I suspect that the battery life will be poor on the 1450LMT especially as time goes on. I purchased two of them and they were totally dead when I opened them up, needing hours to charge. My old nuvi 370 holds a charge for months and runs for hours on a charge. The 680 was good at holding a charge as well for a few years and then again when I replaced the internal battery (this is not easy to do if you are not technically inclined) it was good again.
Finally, the unit ships with US and Canada maps but not Mexico. I think the newer Garmin units include Mexico. Even prior to the whole drug lord shootout situation I never drove into Mexico so this was not an issue for me. However if Mexico is a destination for you consider a model that includes Mexico. The new versions of map source North America include it just not the ones installed and updated on this model.

Couldnt find it in the Targets near me so just went ahead and got it from Amazon for $119 + free shipping. Hassle-free. Used my Freedom card (before March 31st) and got 5% on top of that. $90 would have been better, but with gas prices being the way it is, it would have cost me another $10-$15 driving around all the Targets looking for it, and still may end up with nothing.

It ends up being about $98 with tax out here. So you are correct that driving around to find one is not cost effective. I think some of us will drive to a store with one on clearance as a sporting adventure. I happened to be passing by a target on the way home, but considering my hourly wage and that I checked on two days, it would certainly be more effecient to buy it at Amazon like you did.

Austinites - Bee Cave/Lakeway Target has at least 6 in the GPS case as of this post. I bought one from the clearance bins on the end caps, but there were quite a number of them in the case too. Also plenty of other decent clearance deals at this location including Sammy and Acer tabs and TVs. Secret truism, this Target has consistently the best clearance selection in our fair city. Wealthy area, people don't slum it too often even in the shoddy economy (if Target is slumming it...WallyWorld is down and out in the Hill Country). Not enough margin for me to whore them for eBay, so happy hunting!
EDIT: FWIW, mine was fully charged and had the 2012.10 maps on it, so it was nearly factory fresh...so I'd suspect good performance from the battery from the stock on hand there.
Thanks, worked for me. Picked up one for $90 minus the $50 GC I got from the Target Acer AO722 netbook deal last summer. Three left at the Buckhead ATL store.

Grabbed one at the Round Rock, TX Target last night. They had 4-5 left. I have an old Magellan that works OK, but seems prone to putting you on some odd small streets to save 1/2 a mile, but ends up costing you a lot of time. My son has an older Garmin that I bought him when he got a job delivering pizza, and I definitely prefer it to the Magellan.
Been looking to get a big screen Magellan with lifetime maps and traffic for less than $100. Now I got me one. Thanks OP.

$129.84 at Amazon today for this exact model with LMT. And no, not ALL states are no tax! NY does pay tax, so I can't stand it when people say "no tax" like it's universal.

I just purchased an item from Amazon last night and they charged tax in CA. Its shipped by Amazon, I wonder if they are now in charging in California or is the vendor they are working with for this item located in Ca.?

And it would be white-hot for $1. But you cannot buy one for $70 or $1, so this is hot.

I stopped by my Target and they didn't have any. Since I still had time at lunch, I went in to browse at my Office Depot. WOW, the 1450LMT was marked down to $90. The 1350LMT was marked down to $70. I got the 1450LMT and it rang up $129. I showed the manager the sales sticker on the shelf and he of course, gave it to me for $90. This was not a clearance sticker, but a sale sticker, with it ending on 04/07.

Mine was less than $90, 89.99 lol
Anyway, is it normal behaviour that I have to select all the time again State, language and license agreements when turning on the unit?

I wouldn't wait after price gets to $90, mine dropped to $90 today and only had 2 left, when I checked earlier this week when it was $125 they had like 8 or 9. The only time I've seen GPS go under 50% and still had stock where on some of the crappy tomtom models.

Great unit, the only thing that bothers me is that you can't put in the zip without a state.

Its a good deal at $90. Lifetime maps costs that much by itself. The 5" screen is much easier to see when you are using it, and the qwerty keyboard is faster for most to type on as well. Mine is quite loud and clear with spoken directions too.
