Where is this deal??

Vizio must think they are "apple",,this is probably the most overpriced tablet in this range,,,,280 dollars on Amazon,,this maybe worth 150 "new"
hakeedoo says "NO DEAL'

I had this tablet, and while it was no stellar tablet, it had alot of awesome features, and the screen is amazing... AMAZING. The built in universal remote control is also a great feature that you would pay this alone for a remote. It is worth $165, and Vizio has promised to jump to Ice Cream on this, but unknown when. Kinda bulky, but solid.

First off these are $185 at all Costcos/Sams Clubs. They do just about everything an Ipad 1 can just with a smaller screen but it does have a camera that the ipad doesn't have...problem is the camera is barely useful as a webcam let alone pictures (who frigging takes pictures with their ipad 2 anyway? douchebags do).

We use several of them for work to fill out spreadsheets at job sites. Honestly they've been flawless and they are easier to manage than an ipad. Plus at 185 new if you drop one into a steam boiler you just go buy 2 more and you haven't hit apple's ridiculous price.

We have one employee using an ipad for programming since there is a CNC programming software that is not yet available on android. If we would have done it over we would have just gotten a netbook...as the ipad is far too delicate and large to manage and would have rather had the keyboard attached.

Now in reference to this deal? not worth it...just buy it new from sams/costco and get a cheap case on eBay.

You are the first review I read that says the VTAB1008 has good screen. All the reviews I read, including professional ones, say the screen has poor viewing angle.

I have had alot of tablets, and this truly has an amazing screen. It's 1024 x 768

I no longer have it because it is kinda Bulky, and they never fulfilled their promise of updates. But, it had alot of nice options.

As for viewing angles, it's a tablet... I only look at mine directly, so I cannot vouch for those reviewers and why they would look at tablets at angles.

Um, mine's running Honeycomb that was released last month. That fixed the issue with storing apps onto the SD card. With a matte screen protector, this unit is really nice.

Ditto. OTA update to HC is available now, and for $185 at Costco, where, BTW, they are now back in stock, this is a steal.

Haters can spare us the iPad snobbery...
