unless there is a specific disclaimer about that in the fine print of the rebate, they really can't do that as the offer is UP TO $12.99. if you pay $9.99 for it on sale, there is no basis to reject the rebate. are you sure that was the reason given for YOUR rejection? did you get a letter specifically stating you bought it on sale and it was denied?

Well, they already have my money, so I'm going to give it a try. I used a Wag.com gc code from livingsocial and my receipt shows it as $20 promo/credit.

I've submitted the two prior rebates -- will they reject this one?

On the form they speak of 'dollar off bags' as not acceptable. So maybe Barbiedawl is right about the rejection... To be on the safe side, I'll return the $10 on sale bag and get a $12.99 regular priced instead. Darn it, more sales tax!

Any cat owners cat's opinions on these? Do they like it/don't like it, regular vs grain-free? Our cat is finicky(aren't they all). Guess I can donate it to the shelter if she won't eat it.
I called the Hill's Pet Rebate Helpline (# on form) regarding the petsperks price.
According to 'Erica' reduction through store-sales does NOT DISQUALIFY the product from the rebate, only the use of a manufacturer's coupon would do that. She advised me to put a note like 'savings through store-program, NOT manufacturer's coupon' on the rebate form.
Let's wait and see...

I hope thats the case.. I used my store card for the store discount. No coupon was handed over. Its the discount that everybody gets that shows their card (if you took the time to obtain the card)

Received the rebate today for $10.00 where there was a discount applied at PETsMART for using the in-store card. However, I did not receive the other rebate offer sent a month earlier for $12.99 and no coupons used. Starting to dislike Hills Science rebates already. Seems like I have to call often about rebates anymore.

PETsMART has a deal this week with bonus size bags and 2 free cans of cat food when you buy a bag. The rebate form states it cannot be used with bonus size bags or coupons and based on what you're saying it sounds like both will indeed cause problems. I guess I'll pass.

Received a resubmit letter stating that I used a promotion/manufacturer's coupon as well. “Promotion submitted with receipt showing a discount was already received. Rebates may not be used with any other offer, promotion or manufacturer’s coupon.
The coupon was used on two dog treats on the same receipt as the dog food purchase. They should not deny the rebate if the manufacturer's coupon did not apply to their product.
