Saiga IZ-104 .410 Shotgun seems to be a better choice for this caliber, plus, it is semi-automatic based on AK. 30+ round magazines are available. At least you will be hitting something at 50 yards.
Just add $30 and get the Saiga, something usable.

Green Butcherboy! I want a CCW for myself and perhaps my wife. Any recommendations for my 1st handgun? Looking for something small, willing to pay for quality.

My biggest recommendation - don't buy a handgun without first shooting it at a gun range (or trying out a friend's, etc.) first. More often than not when I violate that rule I regret it and get something I (or my wife) doesn't end up liking. All the positive reviews or recommendations in the world won't overcome something that doesn't feel right in your hand, or has too long of a trigger pull, etc.
As you suggest, I do recommend buying quality for your CCW(s). Saving a couple bucks (or even a couple hundred) will be long forgotten if the thing doesn't go "bang" when you need it to. You can save the money on the ones you will subsequently buy for fun, plinking, etc., since you won't stop at owning one
And take a class (classes), and practice.

The judge is the last gun I'd carry though I guess it could be an interesting home defense weapon. As the other guy said, you want something to go BANG when it's supposed to, so I'd recommend a quality revolver like a 38 special (smith and wesson). If you need more than 6 shots, you will probably have already lost that fight anyway.

With summer (hiking and camping) season around the corner, the judge is a good choice for hiking defense. Load in two rounds of snake shot followed by the rest 410 rounds and you are set for any threat (animal or otherwise). May be in for one.

I don't know why anyone would want one of these. I have a ported Taurus Trakker in .44mag that I use .44 specials in. Bulky for a CCW, but a great gun with good fit and finish and .44sp is one of the best defensive rounds there is. So, I like Taurus and the basic frame the Judge uses.
But, the Judge is too big to easily carry and the .410 is a hotter round than most people imagine in a pistol. It has an amusement quality to it and they seem to sell a lot of them. I just don't get the gun as a practical weapon. Sure, maybe if I carried it in my car (illegal in most cases) and only shot at a guy outside the opposite window it would be fine. And this would just about be the LAST pistol I would start with if I had no experience with firearms.

My title never said ( GUNS, 4 CCW ).... You are right I think this is a good car carry gun, If it is legal in your state to carry one in your car.

So many CCW threads, sorry for diverting the topic.
I'd appreciate a link to a good FW thread. Recommendations I've heard (I fired my brother's 9mm a few weeks ago), are Taurus, Glock and Hellcat. On Breaking Bad I saw when Walt bought the 38 snub.
Best FW discussion to link to so I can get started? Thanks in advance!

I want one of these sooooo bad after having shot one in Texas a couple of weeks ago, but I live in California and would risk a felony just by owning one (it's considered a short-barreled shotgun here). Not worth risking having all my other guns taken away just for getting caught with this one. Maybe the "forbidden fruit" syndrome made me fall in love with this gun more than I normally would have, but I think not. It was a smooth shooter, the 45 long colts barely had any kick -- the 410s were a different story but nothing I couldn't handle.
