sounds disgusting ROFL no wonder they call it party in your pants... also its not FREE ( if you are required to pay shipping ) which disqualifies this post in the freebie sections.

Why is there a tag for "free with stamp" if shipping disqualifies it as a free item? That is how I decided it still qualified in this section. Seems silly to green a sticker you have to pay a stamp for, but then red a $12 item when you have to pay a few dollars for shipping. I'd personally rather hear about the more expensive items that require shipping vs. the pointless items that require a stamp, but I'm happy to not post these things in this specific forum if it violates some rule I missed.

The comments re the hygiene are not necessary- I was just trying to be helpful. I haven't tried them myself, but have had several roommates who were clean and used these, so it can be done. One of my roommates used them because of her environmental beliefs, and another used them because the chemicals in normal products gave her infections every month. The one who used them for environmental beliefs also swore to me that they were easy to clean and much more hygienic than normal products.

Also, considering tampons carry a risk of disease, and at least one manufacturer has admitted it was not uncommon to find mold growing on their tampons (http://consumerist.com/2012/03/dont-worry-thats-just-bread-mold-... it hardly seems logical to judge someone else for being 'gross' for using these. Kinda reminds me of the guy who thought my sister was gross for using cloth diapers, when he refused to change his own child more than 3 x a day to save money on disposables.

in for the thong

Cottage cheese, a half a pear on a bed of lettuce, now that's yuck. Hmmmmm...I'd like to buy a vowel.

Green Earth or not........ Some things are just not meant to be reusable.

Just plain GROSS!

.... _east Infection.... I'd like to solve the puzzle...."B"?

OP edited to include cost of shipping. M362, my old roommate said that her doctor told her to use these as a SOLUTION to her yeast infections. The gyno said yeast infections are very common with disposable products, and that cotton reusable is the safest way to prevent infections. So keep spreading lies totally not based in science or reality, because it is so totally helpful /s.

In case it isn't clear, they are to be cleaned and dried before reuse- just like cloth diapers are. People use towels all the time to clean up gross things (i.e. use towel to clean up after adult activities, reuse underwear, etc.). If you have done any of these things, you should hardly judge.

I don't get all the hate on here. If you don't like the product, don't get it. I thought the post on canned unicorn meat was 1) a terrible deal and 2) completely impractical, but you don't see me posting red on every post just because I don't like the product.

If anybody threw one of those things in my washing machine theyd be out on the street in no time flat.

Hmmm,

Liners for thongs?

Guess it's for tree-hugger chicks with hairy armpits or something.

Wow. A thread full of misogynists or just the uneducated?

Guess what? Underwear is "reusable." Your skid-marked tighty whities get thrown into the washer, men. And vaginal secretions are gross? And what about cloth diapers? Those get thrown in the wash.

I think this is the same company that tried to sell reusable toilet paper for "green" week. Or was it "brown" week. I forget.....

Part of the "ew" is that many people just don't understand the words "personal hygiene." Just imagine having to do a pelvic exam on someone that has not changed their deeply-impacted tampon in 3+ weeks because they forgot it was in there. True story. (She came in for a checkup only because her significant other - with whom she had been having regular intercourse - finally refused to go "down there" until she did.)
