Yep, would never get beyond the security checkpoint and if discovered at the checkpoint then would get you in trouble with TSA anyway...not worth it.

Why would it get you in trouble with TSA? I'm betting this shows up a lot different on the x-ray then a real grenade would. This is basically a toy.

Toy or replica guns and weapons are not allowed in the secure area of airports or on planes. Considering how strict the TSA security theater can be, I wouldn't bother.

More idiots trying to get things their not suppose to through airport security that make the lines even slower. The same tools who try taking stuff like this on a plane are the first ones to complain about having to wait in long lines.

I remember once when in Heathrow on a LHR to ORD flight a passenger who connecting through from Egypt brought a toy grenade in his checked luggage. They announced his name to the podium and then armed police(I think Mp-5s) surrounded him. Not so funny at the time as they dragged him away.

even when not flying, inside some federal/gov. buildings, security wont let you through with stuff like that.
