This is good if you want to play Avis you transfer to your iphone.
If you want something to stream off your computer, try Plex. You can access way more from your hard drive than your phone, and it transcodes on the fly. It takes about 10 minutes to set up, and if you mess with your ports you can watch anywhere.

Good Player can play any formats from the windows share as well. It has some problem with mkv, but mostly good. Only 2.99 at the moment.
