>>>???<<< HUH? this coupon code is multi use, just came out today.

I have a Sony X131KX netbook Atom 2 ghz from 2009. Is it worth switching? Will it be any faster? Thanks!

The C-60 will have a faster GPU but CPU will be a little slower. What you want is a AMD E-450 based netbook.

I have this system and its better than most atoms. The CPU is a little better but the GPU is MUCH better. The C60 is the lowwer power AMD chip so if you want more power in a netbook then get a E-450 one. If you want longer battery life and cheape price get the C-60.

Make sure to remove the bloatware and update the video drivers, flash, and silverlight and the system works well.

Pricey netbook.

How is that pricey? The GPU is alot better then the integrated intel 3000 that comes with most atom netbooks.
I have the HP E-350 Netbook and it can play 720p files and HD MPEG2 from my DVR program but I had to install the powerdvd mpeg2 codec for the files not to studder.
This netbook should also be able to play 720p files fine and Warcraft 3 and Starcraft if you are into that. The E-350 will play WoW at 15-20fps.

I also have HP E350 netbook. You cannot play Netflix - silverlight needs powerful cpu.

I bought this laptop during Staple's April sale. Very impressed with it, no problems or issues so far. Gets a solid 6 hours on battery and the screen is bright. Fan is quiet, doesn't run hot. Much better than my Lenovo netbook. Amazing how many ports they squeezed into a small, thin case (VGA, Ethernet, HDMI, 3 USB, SD card reader). One con: has a glossy finish on the lid, so it does show fingerprints. Matte finish on the keyboard & rest of the case.

Gets the coveted Bulldingo seal of approval.

I got it in Jan 2012 when it was on sale for the same price, I had CashBack from Discover, so I got GCs worth 200 for 160 bucks !! I wouldn't call it a NetBook, I feel like its a good laptop, battery is good, storage is decent, what else do you need in a laptop ? It has a webcam, good RAM !! It has everything that some normal (non-gaming) user would need !! I've never had an issue with this one !

Silverlight 5 (the newest one) add GPU acceraltion but I still hear it has not been implanted well.

Do you have the newest AMD video drivers and Silverlight5? Not sure if Microsoft has fixed it yet but they did say they were working on it.

i got this @ target a few months back (all same specs except 2GB instead of 4GB). fantastic system for this price point. 1080p youtube without stutter, can adequately play starcraft2 and diablo3 (albeit with lowest settings).

still can't do Netflix streaming in hd though. bad stutters. fine in sd.

Does anyone know the link off hand for the benchmarks to compare processors. I have an older Asus 1000he Eee PC with an Atom N270. I saw the link somewhere in another thread but can't find it! Thanks

it's alright....the biggest pain is the keyboard

whenever you push one key in the middle, the whole thing sinks down....it's annoying as ***** when you're trying to type

has both hdmi and vga .. pretty nice

Thanks much.

I have this laptop with 2GB RAM and I love it, it does everything I want it to do except stream Netflix smoothly thanks to Microsoft's lack of GPU acceleration in Silverlight

Do you have silverlight5 and the newwer AMD Vidoe drivers? I know MS said they were working on it but not sure if version 5 has helped any?

Out of stock online

Got this in the Target pre-BF deal last year for 197. Surprised prices are still high :/

Looks like some B&M locations still have it in stock. Does anyone know how to apply the $50 off code when purchasing in store? My understanding was that you'd go to the kiosk at the store, get online and order (inputting the coupon code) for in-store pick-up. In this case, however, since it is OOS online, it doesn't seem like you'd even be able to place an order at the kiosk. If anyone knows how to go about using the coupon in store, I'm sure a lot of people would much appreciate hearing how. I certainly would!

Since oos online and my store has it, was going to ask the same question...

You should be able to print the coupon here: http://reg.e.staples.com/c/s/tagfrm/BPqMRyB7SHGCB8i3SdNtJOowUC/c...

Or use the attached.

Picked this up in April - had one issue which I just couldn't figure out. The wireless would allow me to connect to my other PCs on my home network but the RJ45 port would not. I could get to the internet without a problem but still could not connect to my network.

I took the easy way out - clean install of Windows 7 from another license I had. I can now connect to my network without any problem and I removed all bloatware at the same time. Just remember you will need a copy of some of the drivers on a flash drive first.

Thanks Zupe99.

I have this laptop (netbook) and it will stream Netflix in HD at 1920 x 1080 to my TV, without any problems. It just needs time to buffer properly. I also have a pioneer BDR-XD04 usb blu-ray burner, and it will rip, burn, & play blu-rays at 1080p. It is not a powerhouse, but I am thoroughly impressed with it's little AMD C-60 APU. The battery life is great as well.
