I purchased this item just to get 2 extra batteries for my B&D NLP1800B alligator lopper. (The batteries are generally $30-40 each) Turns out, the string trimmer works pretty good-- it discharges the cord as needed without having to "thump" it on the ground.

I bought mine on e*ay. It came in a a special B&D box labeled "Refurbished", and yes it had 2 batteries and charger just like the specs for a new unit.
just fyi, this is very weak and barely able to handle a patch of wild grasses. dont expect it to clear any of the hardy woodier weed. they're not kidding when it says for light duty only

It has it's place. It's perfect for a homeowner that has 10 minutes of trim needed at the back fence or around a few poles or cable/telephone boxes in his yard. It's nice to just pick it up and use it rather than starting the gas trimmer. If you have any areas that are thick brush you still need the gas trimmer. I have both.

Neighbor has this, I have to WORX.
They both suck as weed whackers, mine as a edger is great.
Not enough power, just my .02
