I don't mean to poopoo on this deal, but isn't Amazon selling this for $4.51 from several sellers? Is there something I'm missing?

Thanks, in for one. Also on Amazon you must pay shipping on small orders.

Thanks op. In for one. Been buying a bunch microsd cards as of late to digitize my software media, meaning I make bootable flash drives of various software such as Win XP, Win 7, and etc. I especially love using a multiboot drive with various tools such as gparted, clonezilla, memtest86+, windows password recovery and etc. This 8GB will be perfect for my OS X Lion install drive. I use one of these (http://www.amazon.com/micro-SD-card-holder-YELLOW/dp/tags-on-pro... to organize all my cards and carry one of these as a reader (http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-microSDHC-Memory-Reader-FCR-MRG2/... Now have a nice all in one solution for the majority of my software and boot disc utilities in a small package instead of carrying a cd binder.

No, parwyn is right. At least two sellers on Amazon with the same card for $4.51 with FS.
Don't mean to poopoo more on this deal, but these are bulk (no package), and like the ones at Amazon, could very likely be fake. Anyone know for sure?

I'd say these are fake. There are tons of counterfeit SanDisk flash cards out there. Best bet is to buy from a reputable large retailer like Amazon (actually sold by Amazon.com, not fulfilled by Amazon), Newegg, B&H, Adorama, etc.

While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it's described here. (Thanks for the tip!) We're working to fix the problem as quickly as possible."
Amazon hasn't sold these for about a week now. Other sites are a little pricey.

well...when inserted into my reader my card shows up as Kodak and had a DCIM folder on it already. The size is correct so for $5 I am not gonna complain. Only needed it for my GPS.

With fakes, it's common for them to do something to the card so whatever is reading it mistakenly sees it as the size on the label, but then when you try to put data on it, you can only put a much smaller amount.

I'm not sure if I'll ever use 32 gigs of storage on my mobile devices (tables, smartphones) but is there any advantage for having a few 8gb or 16gb cards around vs just one 32gb card?
