Might be useful for a on-sale item (assuming not all of their 'on-sale' items are 'instant savings' items, which are excluded).
Also, if you 'need' something (external hard drive, gift, a crap load of office supplies), then of course a free $10 is welcome.

It is a hot deal even if $25 off $75 Staples codes are available for sale. The newspaper coupon can often be used at Office Depot, while a Staples coupon code cannot. And this should be good on Tech at OD, where their own coupons rarely are good on technology. Only problem for me is it is not in my paper (The Oregonian) - or at least I didn't didn't find it.

The Daily Courier in Grants Pass had them in news racks. But they are also the worst for having duplicate inserts and none at all as they are missed. I called them once and was told home deliveries always get all inserts provided to them. If they run short the rack papers do not and the home edition may not if that is the case.
I also bought The Medford Tribune, (Sunday edition) it had the Staples ad with the coupon.
All had the McDonalds free drink coupon

* Competitor's often require a "hard" (in-ad, mailed, etc) coupon rather than an internet printable.
