Lol, I thought my Sharp 65" was huge! Might be time for an upgrade! =)

So how's the picture quality on monster TVs like this?

1920x1080 stretched over 80+ inches doesn't sound so hot to me.

KYBOSH (Jun. 04, 2012 @ 9:20p) |

That's what I was wondering. Based on those dimensions, that's like 25dpi.

Green for you. Best price I've ever seen for this TV. Makes me sad I paid $500 more!

Thx op, needed a new TV for my bedroom

fyi. saw this in Costco for $4000 the past weekend.

"Like the non-3D LC-80LE632U, the LC-80LE844U features a full-array LED backlight with 240Hz, but it misses out on local dimming found on the smaller 945 series."

Great, so I pay a premium price, but don't get features that even the cheaper versions have. Garbage "deal."

Expect the price to depreciate another $1,300 to $3,000 within the next 6 months. Wait...wait...wait.

I here Sharp is coming out with a 90" model

do u have 2 adjust your lighting in the room ?

Soon you will be able to paint a whole wall into a TV (no projector needed)... So hold your breath if you can...

They've had a 108" model for like 4 years. Jimmy Fallon show uses one on-set.

Where are the quad-HD LCDs?

Thx OP I needed a tv for my closet!

In for 4, I'm making a 160' X 160' evil lair control room, muhahaha.

In for 2.
Going to install them in the headrests in my car.

4.5k at costco... preeminently displayed right at the door.... makes me drool everytime i walk in.

In for 5, gonna use 4 to build an awkwardly small room with these as walls THEN put the fifth inside.

Need new TV for my Smart Car dash.

You can buy a top of the line Epson HD front projector and 80" screen for half of that.

V I E W M O U N G O U S !!!

I'd never leave the living room if I had this! Unfortunately, we have been striving to drastically cut our power bill so the 370W usage would be detrimental to us.....

Thought it was $1,700.00.

4 sold over 12 hours. I guess there aren't a lot of impulse buyers for a $4200 80" TV...what's happening to this country?

It's a good price but it will keep going down in the next couple months. I think too many people have already bought 32 inch LEDs that they didn't need and didn't save up for the big one haha.

Of course, this would be great to use as a GPS in my Hyundai, too bad it doesn't have a touch screen.

Had a sharp phone, now it's TV.

Well, you could always leave it turned off and stare at the glossy blackness of it. Or have dinner parties to show it off, and then tell people you don't really watch it that often because you're used to the "big" TV at your vacation home.

Out of Stock!!! microsoft bought them all.. guess what!!! they are expanding to compete with Apple Stores....
May be i can replace my bathroom mirror with this, Does it support Skype? Why not I Skype while brushing my teeth.. not a bad idea...

Apple Swallowed Nokia, Motorola, RIM, Windows is the next target and it happens soon when windows 8 is out....

have all the real estate to mount this beast but not the dollah...my 4 year old Sharp LC65D64U is still going strong, love Sharp TV's. Given the 80" screen, viewing distance is of paramount importance since resolution is still 1080p. Believe me, you don't want to be sitting anything closer than 15 ft from this monster.

80 inch, wow, what a TV to have at the foot of the bed....

This one is a nice size, but I'm going to wait for 2160p.

The lowest price I've seen!Green for u!

Thank you OP! Was looking for the 80 inchers to come down to this affordable level

In 4 1 with $1400 eBay Bucks certificate! Don't forget FatCash and eBay Bucks!

Thanks! Needed one to fill the garbage pail with
