I buy almost all of my ammo online that I don't reload (using components that I buy online). Online bulk ammo in the calibers I use most (12ga buck and slug, 5.56, 7.62x39, 9mm) is usually almost half the price that I would pay locally.
That being said, I have never understood .22 bulk ammo pricing online - those 525rd Federal value packs are $17 on a shelf right now in my town, and $15 on frequent sale. (As noted, my town is definitely NOT a great place for ammo deals.) $20 - typical online pricing for Fed value packs - must be a good deal somewhere. But where?
Just curious, how much are the Federal 525 value packs at your local sporting good store?

I just received the bag. It's very sturdy with a 8 X 14" firm base at the bottom. The first description at Amazon, here,here, by D. Kaplan, describes the bag very well. I'll just add that the removable pouches do not have there own zippers. A very nice bag...
