To me both posts serve a different audiences. Personally I like seeing the name of the title and the direct link to Amazon

I actually agree with both posters. Having separate posts can be helpful in that it allows for some discussion of the merits of a particular book, but it does seem to me that the number of free Kindle book posts has grown to the point where they might be better served by having their own forum rather than cluttering the Hot Deals forum.
BTW, Amazon's complete list of the top selling free AND paid Kindle books has always been available here.

I'm not sure there's a point to posting a thread linking to the Top 100 every day. A new thread for the same links, every day? The Top 100 is always accessible. It doesn't change very much daily, and an RSS feed of it will deliver to you the specific changes rather than having to look through it and identify what's changed (if you're really into the Top 100).
In yesterday's Top 100 thread I posted a bunch of links to various lists of free Kindle ebooks, hundreds of new ones daily rather than the same ones that are on the Top 100 lists from day to day.
As others have said, it serves different needs. However, I started a thread awhile back dedicated to these kinds of posts, so maybe consider contributing there. I understand making a new post for a really good deal, but most of the freebies are hit and miss. Just my 2 cents. Link
