No rebate. Price should be $203.86.

Rebate from the link shows purchase date 6/10 - 6/24 and postmarked by 7/23. Where did you get your dates from?

You are right. I was looking at the old rebate form. Yes, I have been "OverRuled".

you're looking at the wrong rebate link... there's a "get forms" link to the right of the "post-purchase rebate: $70.00" text that shows the deal started on 6/10 and you just need to order by 6/24 and be postmarked by 7/23

Boy the price on these has come down and the capacity and quality up in the last two years. I have 4 Vertex II's 60gb running Raid 5 adn that cost about 4 X as much money when I add in the Rocket Raid Controller.

good price, but I'm too lazy to open up my laptop to replace the hd ... I can wait longer ...
I hate rebates almost most as much as I hate N*w Egg.
I'm really ready to jump on this though. Wonder when the price will drop to this level with no rebate.

No, the $119 price is not sold by Amazon and I don't think would qualify for the rebate. The Amazon price is still $203.86.

No Amaz0n coupon that I know of to make it sweeter. Also, while rebate is valid on several retailers' websites, none seems to have it cheaper than Amaz0n.

One of the things I dislike about the prepaid cards is that you can never use the full amount on Amazon because they preauthorize $1 before they charge it. Nonetheless, I often use it to buy an Amazon gift card which I don't have to worry about losing and then just forget about the last dollar.

They are fine, I got the two rebates I put on the 320 series at Xmas time. As to the Visa cards I just use them up at the self-checkout at the grocery store, Lowes and Home Depot. You can spend the whole card and if that does not cover your purchase price you are prompted to pay again with another source. Very easy way to burn through all these rebate Visa cards at least for me.

There are no "Intel rebates" - there are companies that process rebates for companies like Intel. Last fall, I bought an Intel SSD and the rebate was processed by 4myrebate.com , a terrific rebate processor who processed about a dozen rebates for me; all of them came through. You can even view online scans of the documents you submitted.
4myrebate.com processed my Intel SSD rebate in about 8 weeks.
For this SSD rebate, Intel has chosen another company called Advertising Checking Bureau to process their rebate. I don't think I've ever used them before, so I can't comment on their reliability.
