So if I get someone's FF#, I'm free to use their miles? Last I knew you needed passwords and/or PIN numbers too.... And I'm sure that wouldn't be great PR if Frontier is running a "scam".

Just got "upgraded".
They gave me 60 days of being "Ascent status" and if I fly 4 one-way flights, I get it to keep it through Jan 2014.
"We will track your flight activity for 60 days from today's date and if you take four one-way* trips, you will be granted Ascent status through January 31, 2014".
Just booked a r/t to Denver, and it shows my new status. Great deal, thanks OP!
