They EARN money and hence deserve to be paid what they are. The day everyone refuses to pay $100s of dollars to watch them is the day they won't make this kind of money. Instead of letting it bother you, figure out way to increase your own pay. Hating someone else is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die.

People pay to watch them live, and even when they don't, advertisers pay the networks who pay the teams who pay the athletes for getting people to see their ads while watching the teams.

Entertainment/luxury is an enormous part of our economy. If people only bought stuff that they truly need, then we'd have 50%+ unemployment.

Money will find its way towards sports franchises no matter how much athletes are paid, and I'd much rather see that they get the money instead of the owners pocketing 90% of it.
