Amazon emails a promo code for a ticket. Also, inside the movie was another code for a ticket. So I got two FREE tickets and a Blu Ray for $9.99!

http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/?ie=UTF8&linkCode=ur2&docId=1000809921

Buy any one of these $9.99 Spider-Man movies on Blu-ray (regularly $19.99!) on Amazon.com between now and August 3, 2012 and receive a promotional code that you can redeem for a certificate valid for one admission to see The Amazing Spider-Man between July 3, 2012 and August 3, 2012 at participating theaters. Once shipment of the movie occurs you will receive an e-mail within 48 hours containing your promotional code. Click the link contained in the email to go to the website http://www.sonymoviecash.com/asm and redeem your promotional code.

This trilogy was pretty decent. I don't understand why they even made a new one...
Thanks for the post anyway

So if I place three different orders, will I receive 6 movie tickets?

As long as the "emailed" code is limit ONE PER ORDER and not limit ONE PER CUSTOMER, then yes.

From the Blu-Ray packs, you should receive one on every Blu-Ray. BUT, from the Amazon promotion*, it is "Limited to one offer/one promotional code per customer."

So by placing 3 orders, you should receive 4 codes. (3 from the Blu-Ray packs, and 1 from Amazon)

No. Some blu ray doesn't have ticket inside

truelies said:   No. Some blu ray doesn't have ticket inside

which specific ones do, and which don't then? if you're going to reply, at least give helpful info.

Thanks! Got one. At 2 tickets/bluray I have to jump.

Amazon page shows one ticket per Blu ray...
Also is there a limit of the number of Blu rays you can buy for promotion codes ?

read the OP again re one ticket.

as for limit of the number of blurays max for the promo codes, you'll have to read thru the fine print. hasn't been mentioned.

I bailed out after reading that others received 1 code per Amazon order (not 1 per Bluray purchased). I do not have prime so ordering 1 at a time results in shipping costs.

Not sure about the Amazon codes but the vouchers in the movie cases are good for $10 off your ticket OR $5 off concessions. So $10 off the movie and about 1/2 a small soda with the 2nd voucher. Order a 2nd movie on your significant others account and you can share half of there half a small popcorn bought with their $5 concession voucher.

Edit: Amazon email vouchers look to be the same as the included ones. Gonna order a 3rd set and enjoy eating a third of half a small candy from the boys $5 concession trip. Theaters sell half a small, right?

If you got an extra $10, then use it later for a different movie.

Can you use them on another movie?

Batman comes out the 20th.

Thanks for confirming what I was wondering.
Well, if the promotional code is per customer, I think I need to buy just one.

Sometimes those ticket codes count as passes, and theaters won't let you use passes until a movie is 2 weeks old. Only thing that's stopping me from jumping.

That would make this deal really hot, but I don't think so. It says in the terms: "e-Movie Cash certificates can be used for UP TO $10.00 toward admission to The Amazing Spider-Man. e-Concession Cash certificates can be used for $5.00 off any concession purchase"

In for one. Thanks OP

Looks like I arrived at the party fashionably late... items ship 7-14 days (depending on which title). Now the big question: Do I want to wait two weeks to see the new spidey? hmmm

price is now $12 /movie - still a good deal, but worth pointing out for some

NadaNuff said:   Sometimes those ticket codes count as passes, and theaters won't let you use passes until a movie is 2 weeks old. Only thing that's stopping me from jumping. Most of these codes get printed up as a credit card #, which can be used for any type of ticket purchase.

SHADYnky said: Can you use them on another movie? The theater usually doesn't care, as long as they are still showing Spiderman, they won't get audited & have to explain themselves. Worst case, you try to buy Batman tix, they say "sorry", and you buy Spiderman, and walk into Batman by mistake.

How quick are the emailed Amazon codes coming?

With the 2-for-1 movie deals every Friday I can see a movie with the 2 of us for just $7.50. A better deal for me seeing I don't want/need a BR movie. Still a great deal for those on the East Coast. Was in NYC last weekend and was floored with how much movies are there.

Now, can we use these oline? Might be a problem picking them up now that I think about it...

12 each now and delivery 10-12 days away. So hope the price drops and that the codes come in on time.

confirmed.... i just received BR Spiderman 3.... code was behind outside clear wrapper on sticker... also Amazon sent another code via email... sweet....

Thanks OP...great deal

are you ordering all the movies? and do you get a promo code for each one?
all 3 of mine show shipped, but i only have 1 code emailed thus far.

ETA: Terms and conditions of this promotion: Only purchases of select movies from Amazon.com qualify. Limited to one offer/one promotional code per customer. Restrictions include the following:...........

if you read thru the thread, I believe it was mentioned the 'online' emailed code was limited to limit one per customer. some people got around that w/multiple Amazon accounts. each physical DVD case should have a code on the box itself.

When did you get the Amazon code email? I got shipping notification yesterday but haven't received the code yet. I know it says 48hrs, but many of the other promotional codes from Amazon has come within 24hrs. Thanks!

thanks MC - I guess I should have read the T&C BEFORE i ordered but alas, 4 freebies is good, that's 2 dates

got a confirmation order and the next day received the promotional code
OP thanks
