Ryobi 18V Slim Li-Ion Battery 2-Pack 69.99 Home Depot InStore

Home Depot is having a sale on the Ryobi 18V Slim Lithium Ion Battery 2-packs. They are normally 89.99 and I have not seen them ever on sale. Online still shows 89.99 so looks to be InStore only. It was not on clearance, but a sale, they could not tell me how long the sale would last.

Marked in my store as 'New Lower Price.' This is a permanent price drop.

Do you know the Ampere-Hour rating of these batteries? The illustration looks like they are shorter than the full capacity units. May be a good deal, regardless, but they don't look like the full size lithium ion batteries that come with most tools.

I just checked the ones I have, and the full size is called a P104 and one approximately half the volume is the P103. The P103 says they are 24 Watt-Hour and I don't see a rating for the P104. A rough guess would be 48 Watt-Hour. With an assumption of constant 18 Volt output until it drops to zero, that would be 24 Volt-Amp-hour / 18 Volts = 1.33 Amp-h for the P103 and 2.67 Amp-h for the P104.

Yes, the P103 contains 5 cells, the P104 10 cells. They hold half the total power.

Hopefully this means the P104's will be coming down in price soon, else I may buy a pair of P103's just for the cells to rebuild a failing P104.

Nice! I love all my Ryobi Tools that use these lithium batteries. There's no comparison to the amp hours/capacity of lithium ion.

I have Ryobi 18v yard tools and I wouldn't recommend these batteries for anyone that needs "extended" power. These short/slim battiers are about 1/3 the aH of the normal sized lithium batteries. My neighbor saw me using my Ryobi stuff outside and decided to get some too to get away from the oil and gas stuff. I got mine online and he got his in store, but his came with the little slim lithium battery. His blower lasted 10 mins before it drained while mine lasts about 30 mins.

but that would be a much better deal as my first ryobi drill died after 3 years of pretty hard work for a home user.

if you do have the link to the deal with a charger i would love to see it.

as a side note, and back on topic, 1 store near me had the lower price but none available, another store had the regular price and availability.

go figure.

It's not in the picture, but it does say it has a charger in the description and in the reviews. It mentions that the slow charger takes 10 hours to charge the battery. The rapid charger is typically 1 hour or less.
