looks good... any body used this?

Remember that you get what you pay for. The Wi-Fi doesn't say whether it's G or N, and it's not likely that the Google Play store can be installed. Cortex A8 is not anything to get excited over

When did Buy.com become a Japanese company (Rakuten)? Looks even junkier than before.

Answer: May 2010

For those complaining about the Nexus tablet, at least this one has HDMI and MicroSD

We are on Fatwallet because we believe there are exceptions to this 'rule', and sometimes you find exceptional values.

very true statement but in this case, regarding this item, i have to agree with freeflyer

In answer to a question by the OP, I believe the "G sensor" is the gravity sensor...it determines which side of the tablet is up, so it knows how to orient the display.

It sounds a bit like the "GPS", but that refers to circuitry (not included in this model) which determines the location of the tablet on earth.

Not a bad price...it says it's a capacitive multi-touch screen. Although the A8 CPU is dated, it has a separate graphics card. I'd like more info about the specs of the GPU though. YouTube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=howYMQNRHFk. I'd give it a try if I didn't already have 5 tablets

Edit: Looks like this is the same unit from Amazon (3rd party seller) and there is more detail in the description:

I will give you green OP - could be a very nice deal for the price. Would be nice to know if google play works, but you can always sideload, and while the A8 is a bit dated, the overall specs on the unit are very nice.

Buy.com got bought out about a year ago, I think.

tempting if it was 69 i'd jump in?

A8 is weaksauce. It is several generations behind so don't count megahertz.

check this out:

arm7/ARM11 < ARM8 (neon/no neon/vp8/etc) < ARM9 < A15

So modern quad-core with killer graphics nexus7 or ancient ARM8 with ?? VP8?? carpy gpu ? That's like buying an old PC with AGP geforce card versus today's cheapest intel desktop cpu, whole nother planet of performance.

LOL! at comparing $80 tab to $250 tab. You mean the $250 tab has a faster processor. Get out!
HMDI and microSD card and ICE and does what most people will need for $80.

For people too lazy to read the reviews the single 1 egg review was the result of not receiving a .25 cent card reader that was in one of the posted pictures.

$80 tab not new iPad! Grrrrrrr!!!! :-P

maybe it is time to replace my daughter's Archos 70

LCD Resolution: 7" 800 x 480 pixels

That kills it for me. Still a nice deal for $80

According to Newegg reviews:
-Touchscreen has great responsiveness
-Some says it can play Netflix, some says it can't.
-Good battery (3000mAh according to Amazon)
-It can run Skype, it is already installed (asian version?)
-It comes with google play but some apps (i.e.: google maps, angry birds classic, lastfm, twitter etc.) will not install from google play store

I guess that you should DEFINITELY expect to use the warranty ...
