Good deal

Anyone considering this deal should seriously consider a price comparison at WalMart. Though more convenient, Walgreens prices can't compete. Their pharmacy is their profit center so they rely on higher prices to make their business model work. This isn't the case with WalMart. Additionally, attempting to obtain higher profit margins, they do not staff adequately (my opinion). They under staff their pharmacies leading to errors that they aren't required to report. It happens so often at Walgreens it even has its own name, they refer to it as a "STARS" event.

In a medical facility turned McPharmacy, errors can lead to illness and worse. Read about the FL woman Beth Hippely who died due to an error by a pharmacy technician. The pharmacy technician was formerly employed at a movie theater.

A jury awarded $31 million to the family of a 79-year old man who had kidney failure and went on dialysis after a Walgreens pharmacy gave him medicine that wasn't the gout medicine his doctor prescribed.

A high school wrestling Coach died after not receiving counseling about drug interactions, and was awarded a $6 million verdict. A Florida man died of a Methadone overdose after he was given incorrect dosage instructions.

There is NO ONE to blame, but the greedy corporate turn this business has taken. Drive through windows, selling bubble gum, beer, wine you name it in the name of selling more and more scripts per day using fewer and fewer employee hours.

This is fine in fast food where if you get a Super sized fry vs regular.....you'll probably just be a little fatter. In a pharmacy a tiny mistake could mean life or death.

1) If you have insurance your copay is the same + you get $25 cc @ Walgreens ( So with this Walgreens offer your Up $25 Over Wal-Mart )

2) Have you done a search on Google ( WalMart pharmacy lawsuit ) ?

3) If I had to pay out of pocket my choice is Costco

4) I dont shop @ Wal-Mart

Policies vary. For example, CVS policy states "...accepted at the discretion of CVS/pharmacy management.". http://www.cvs.com/help/contact-us-faqs.jsp?type=store&topicid=2...
