I'd pay an extra hundred to not be the guy that has the Proscan tv hanging on the wall.

It says NO VGA, so using it as a computer monitor in addition to tv is not available. I think without that feature that it is not an awesome deal for everyone, but maybe good as a kids or guest room tv.

No, you aren't being fair. Choose on the basis of merit.
This TV might not the best one, but certainly not bad a TV at the given price.
P.S. Shopkeepers wont mind.

Of the two Proscan TVs I've personally seen used... both died after a little over a year. Just sayin'....

I think the point being made is that with the HDMI connection there's no need for VGA ports (of course you have to have a somewhat newer computer to have the HDMI out though) to connect PC to TV (although in the info that was quoted it said there was a VGA as listed just after the HDMIx3 info so that IS strange!).

I think that is a mistake on Kmart's part. According to user manual it has pc connection.
Pages 10 and 14 show vga connection, plus it has hdmi which most new computers have output for. I am not suggested anyone buy this for a monitor anyway, guest room tv.
