Ok, so I have been looking for a deal on a relatively inexpensive, decent size TV for my patio; in this Sunday's CompUSA ad they advertised a Proscan 37" LED @ $249 that I have had my eye on for the past few weeks, but they never have stock of the freaking thing at my local store. Since they advertised the sale, I called again to check stock and was told they were out (I already knew that, it seemingly is out almost everywhere except a few stores in FL) but they were subbing a 39" Proscan LCD as a replacement at the same price: This is the replacement/substitution: So, I went ahead and picked it up instead just to be done with it, and figured I was getting an extra 2 inches viewable for the same price so that works in my favor. The odd thing is the TV that I got is different than what the manual describes, ie connections are in a different place etc so the specs listed may or may not be accurate, I'm thinking this is a newer manuf TV than what was originally sold under that model number. Anyway, since it is a substitution I have listed it as YMMV, but I would think this is a corporate wide thing- if you're in the market for a decent TV, at a decent size this is a pretty good deal @ $249 for 39" new with warranty. Here's the link for the 37" LED that was originally advertised... now looks like only one B&M has stock: http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp... |
