Obviously these are based on locale as the OP must be in CA. The AA gift cards, which are only at certain locations, are going away (see the long thread on Flyertalk for details)

I've seen cold stone GCs, Jamba Juice is seasonal, sea's candies -- this is all in CA however some of these might be nationwide. Don't remember the exact values, will update next time I go there.

my local costco in nor cal has discounted gc to VERY local restaurants. linguini's in Alameda for example. $80 for 4/$25.

You can ask each location to look up items by item number. I wonder if they will ship individual items from location to location with item number???? Does anyone know???

This is suprising because Costco (and this is in their sales plan) moves items around so people discover new things that they can't live without. So at least in my case I am always looking around trying to find something that I know was there last week until I finally have to go to a sales associate to locate it.

Yes, I stock up since they can be used at Carrabba's, Bonefish, and Outback as well.the flemings card can also be used at roy's hawaiian fusion. if you sign up to be on their email distribution list they occassionally send out 20% off discounts for making reservations online. you make the reservation online and they automatically deduct 20% from your bill when it is presented. you can then pay with the gift cards that you purchased at a discount. it's a nice double dip discount. my wife and i signed up with separate online accts and we each get the discount codes emailed to us.

edit: i haven't seen the flemings, outbacks or roy's gc's at the alhambra, ca or other socal costcos in the past year, but they've carried them in the past.

I just bought a costco cash card. Can I now shop with it in the store and buy more cash cards too ?

I was under impression that if Costco carries a certain gift card, it will always be there. Turned out not true - a few weeks ago I saw a bunch of gift cards to Biltmore Estate in Greenville, SC Costco but last weekend when I decided to go they were gone. They told me the cards were sold out but it seemed clear they were actually pulled from the stock.

Buying a Costco Cashcard online is one way to use your VISA/MC if don't have the AMEX and hate having to use debit cards or cash. Just plan a little ahead, plus it makes going through the gasoline line a snap (one card swipe).
