Mine absolutely stayed inflated for weeks, no problem. There's a compartment on the mechanical bit under the shark that you put some putty in to achieve neutral buoyancy--you may have to take out a little every few days/once a week or so, as the helium escapes and less weight is needed. Of course this was in Phoenix during the summer--I wouldn't be surprised if your experience varies based on temperature, humidity, altitude, etc. But I can't imagine it would differ drastically.

Please don't waste helium on these kinds of toys or balloons. Helium is a finite resource and needs to be saved for scientific research, MRI machines and CPU production.
