someone told me you can't use the lower receiver for any other upper receivers on this model, can someone confirm this?

I don't know why it wouldn't swap out. Make sure everyone knows this model does not have a dust cover or forward assist. It also does not have a chrome lined barrel. It's supposed to be a decent rifle, I've ordered one for a bit less elsewhere, but this looks like a decent deal.

I think they were referring to the M&P15-22.

I don't think any of the frame or internals would swap from the .22, that whole thing is plastic isn't it? I know the externals will swap, stock, grips, but then I did see you could change the trigger to another M4 style.
