It seems the Staples 1TB ones are different parts and only USB2.0. The OP deal is USB3.0. There is a 750GB/USB3.0 one at 79.99 at Staples however. edavid said: It's $90 at Staples, so a better deal if you have a coupon...
Anyone know how many platters the "1TB Elements SE Portable" uses? The "My Passport" line uses 500GB platters according to this review, so if they use the same drives inside for the Elements series than it should be 2 platters, but I'm not sure.

Staples have the sleek design for 99.99 and with $25 off $75 or or $30 of $100 the price would come to descent $75 or $70 YMMV. wonder if Staples is still sending out 25 of 75, its been some time I got them but I can redeem my duracell battery vouchers if I get one...
