Do these not go on sale very often and/or the discounts aren't that great? $15 off is nice, but it's a mere 20% off of MSRP.

True. I've been following router prices on Sears recently and this one's been at this price at least since Columbus day. I've been waiting for the fixed + plunge base one to go on sale again.

I got the fixed+plunge base on the last sale. Its a very good router. I don't use it much, but I can install a door without chisels blazing fast now.
