Not a bad deal (I gave you green), but for me Ting is better. I paid $435 from Ting for my SII – the same exact SII model that Sprint now giving away. In fact, my SII is Sprint branded. But my last monthly bill was $14 with tax included. My average monthly bill with Ting is $20 (500 minutes, 100 MB, no text), so for me Ting is $1,725 cheaper (over two years) than the free phone from Sprint (with $100 per month unlimited talk data and text, Sprint network only, and no hot spot).

Please note that this is a 4G Wimax phone, not a 4G LTE phone.
Wimax is still alive but limited to existing coverage, the new 4G rollout as part of Sprint's Network Vision expansion is using LTE.
Great if yo have Wimax coverage or like 3G, sucks if you think it's LTE capable and get stuck with a non-LTE phone for 2 years because it was free.
