This is exactly same as the g6-2123 that was on clearance last week (final price $310, after $50 easy rebate), except for the bump in HDD (750GB, instead of 640GB) and Windows 8 pre-installed. I have been using this laptop since Thursday, upgraded to Windows 8 Pro from Windows 7 Home Premium; still getting used to the new UI.

Everything looks good (2 USB 3.0 ports, HDMI out) in the laptop with regards to the price, except for the VGA camera. Wish they had a slightly better one. For someone who is used to 14" or less, you can really feel the extra weight when you carry it around.

PS. OP, please fix title - HD is 750GB, not 500GB.
