I didn't see anyone posting about the trade-in program Sony is offering. Since they are doubling the credit, I think is really good deal if anyone have old laptop laying around. Sending two of my Sony laptop for $216 each.

Do you have more details? Your link simply goes to Sony's website with no mention of doubling the credits.

Note that the trade in deal is good toward a new Sony.

The problem with this program is that you have to go to a BM to redeem. IMO, any trade in value you get from the laptop, you lose to inflated B&M retail prices.

If you don't like Sony credit, you can sell it on plastic jungle and get about 80% of credit value.

I did a trade-in 6 years ago and got myself a VGN-BX540BW. I sold it on eBay for $150 a week ago.
Just updated the link. It didn't mention anything double credit, I found out from Rep at Sony store.

It's not a bad deal if you do really get what it says on the site especially if you find a clearance item with a coupon.

pretty much dead. My t61 was quoted $202 but now only $60. Oh well, I'll part it out and probably get more.
