I purchased the Synology DS412+ for $578 + $12 shipping. Normal price at Newegg is 679.99, with Amazon at $649.99. Been looking for one of these for the past 2 months, and have never seen them go on sale. Was waiting for the BF deals, but decided to jump on this...

The coupon code does not work for most of the devices in the link you posted. In particular, it doesn't work on the DS413 or DS413j, the models that I personally want to buy.
The DS412+ is the same speed as the DS413, but uses an intel atom CPU so it can run plex and transcode up to ~720p. If you need that it's worth the additional cost. Otherwise, the DS413 or even DS413j (if you primarily need to serve files) make a lot more sense.
