FW is all about purchasing deals. Therefore by implication, one can expect that the thread title implies CB on GC purchase. Other poster get red for their thread titles. Staff is not exempted from this.

I never understood why using a gift card to make payment does not earn Cash Back. I think it should be the other way around. Buying gift cards earn no CashBack. Why does it matter that I use giftcard to make a purchase or not?

It all depends on the merchant themselves. Some pay for buying a gift card, some pay when it's redeemed, and some don't pay on either. I don't know what factors make them decide how they want to handle them.
