been using it for several years. the backup client software is free and runs on mac, win and linux. you can back up to local storage, another computer on your local network, another computer over the internet (e.g. a friend or relative's) or their cloud servers. the only one you have to pay for is the cloud backup (the subject of this deal). the backups are encrypted so you can't access the files directly; you have to restore using the client software. it takes a long time to seed a backup over the internet since most home connections have slow upload. i haven't had to do a large restore yet.

Useless for cloud backup unless you are backing small files or have a very high speed connection. Try backing up several hundred megs of files and you will see a new definition of S...L...O...W!!!
