I bought the SX130 IS last year for the same price. Differences seem to be 14 vs. 12 MP (which is meaningless in any practical way); more special scene modes; movies (720p max) 30 minutes vs. 10.
I love the SX130, with the following cons: 1) Slow to become ready for the next picture. Use a fast SD/SDHC/SDXC card! With flash it's like eternity. 2) Battery longevity is very bad with alkalines Use NiMh! 3) Macro is only usable with the lowest zoom.
