Hi, I'm confused because it said the finalists were the ones with the most green. Earrings posted by Jacie are not on the list.. and the one I was hoping to vote for - the tanzanite ring posted by MikeGroovy. There were 6 items with 3 votes at the close of the voting, and 3 among those were chosen by random drawing to fill the remaining spots per the contest rules.
aaahh.. randomness, and yes I figured I was being blind The ring posted by MikeGroovy had 4 votes -- plus 1 red which is not supposed to count (can you tell I'd like that ring lol)

Just checked my earrings and there is no "low inventory warning."
^ I get the randomness of the ones that were tied, but yours should have been in finals.... unless some of the greens were after the fact? who knows?1

I entered this as well, but was disheartened when the rules were not followed, even the finalists that are posted did not follow the rules. The rules stated "Pick out an item with an original price of $299 or less". It did not say a sale price of $299.00 or less. How can you NOT follow the rules, but be a finalist?

The listed "retail value" isn't actually the price Jewelry.com ever sells at - it's just a reference point. The rules as I interpreted them referred to an original "price" of $299 or less (ignoring whether it had been marked down to a "clearance" price), not the "retail value."

Since someone else mentioned it, it appears that one of the votes came on 11/27 - after the voting had ended; however, 6 would have still been enough votes to make it. My notes indicate that the name of the item was not posted.
Solipsist you must be laughing at us! I just voted since the tanzanite ring isn't going to show up as a finalist... and FYI the amethyst pendant is in the lead
my favorite is the ring and next would be the earrings. no offense, but i don't see the lure of gemstones set in sterling. i like sterling, but i like natural stones set in it.

Oh WOW! I got this in the mail ALREADY! And I have to say, it is absolutely gorgeous! If you need a gift idea for a woman whose birthday is in February or just happens to like amethyst or purple, this is a great piece! The stone is even larger than I expected since I am used to gemstones being tiny if they cost less than $100. It reflects light and glitters just beautifully.
