So, I bought that one I linked to. There is no difference in my opinion between the "M" and "non-M" version. I'm very pleased with this product, and it feels like this really is a "retails-for-$180" type headset.
For those who need a good computer headset (Skype/chat,gaming,lync,etc), this would be at the top of my list. Especially considering it should cost $100 more than it does.
