Yes an unlocked GSM iPhone can be used on any carrier that utilizes the same style SIM card. T-Mobile will work

Prices are not bad. I got a factory refurbished and factory unlocked 4S 16GB from CowBoom last month for 379.

The iPhone 4 was also released nearly 3 years ago. Apple has "redefined what a smartphone can do" a couple of times since then.

I was all ready to call BS on that - but crikey, it is indeed three years old already! Amazing to think that Gizmodo hasn't been invited to any Apple events for that long!
