I've been thinking about trying an electric again. I do this once every 5 years or so. I've tried 3 or 4 types over the years and the Braun was always the gentlest on my face, but still too rough. Hopefully the technology has improved since my last try...I think it was a Norelco. I tried out my father's and it was definitely better than the model I had 5 years prior, but the lift/cut mechanism hurts my face too much. Hopefully this is the winner! I hate shaving.

I'm surprised to hear that. I've found electric to be much better on my face than a blade.
Have used braun's for the last 20 years. Are you using it after washing your face, then it would pull. I always use mine first thing, then hop in the shower, using an electric on a just washed face would tear your skin off!!
I currently have a 5 year old 3 series, works great......

My problem is mostly with the lift/cut systems. My skin is ultra sensitive and hundreds of lift/cuts a second KILLS my skin. And to top it off I used to always ended up spending more time shaving with an electric than a blade. It definitely has been a LONG time since I tried a Braun. Possibly 20 years. I remember back then it was 3x better than the Norelco's.
