Yes, another Champion generator, but this one has the 240 volt, four prong outlet to power 240 volt applications (instead of the three prong 240 volt RV outlet).

More importantly, it matches up with most in-home transfer switches to safely power selected circuits in your existing electrical panel, eliminating the need to string cords through doors and windows.

It does not come with a wheel kit or cover like the Cabela's Weekender package. But the availability and cost of a cord to go from three prong Weekender RV 240 outlet to a four prong, in-house transfer switch application is about $70-80. tractor supply sells the wheel kit for $45 and Cabela's sells the cover for $25, so the cost is about even, but at considerably less jerry-rigging in order to use your own in-home wiring. The other main consideration / benefit in buying and using the four prong application (with a transfer switch) is the ability to buy a bigger generator should the 3500W unit not prove powerful enough. The Cabela's Weekender was designed with RVs in mind. This one is designed more for home use.

It's only available in store at the $299 price (through January 27th, 2013), but they will order it for you at that price if they're out of stock at the time.

I know this may not be for everyone, but if you like the idea of not stringing cords and using your own in-home outlets and wiring, it may be for you.

In Loveland, OH (Cincinnati suburb), the price comes out to be $329.99. Champion Power Equipment™ 3500W/4000W Portable Generator. How to get that $299 matched? TIA

Look at the circular to see the $299.99 price

This was perfect, thanks OP! Picked the last one up in Hudsonvilke, MI. They had the wheel kit there for $44.95.
Had been scoping out the two at Costco, but they were overkill for our needs. This one fits the bill perfectly.

Why no CA love?

If you live near a Camping World location, it appears they sell the Champion generator cover for less than $20 in-store.

They've got an Internet sale on it for $16.49, but shipping kills it.

It might be worth a call to your local store to see if it's in stock or they can order one for you.
