fyi , this laptop was the deal in WalMart in black friday, most people come for other cheaper laptop with low configuration so these acer laptop are remained still. You can say $499 for an ultra book is not a bad deal but there were some other better laptop/ultra book back to a week ago

Yes I meant that if you visit your local store, they are labeled yellow as 499. It rang for 628 but the manager had to override it.

Hello Costcoer, I am using this laptop since evening and now I am considering to keep it. Windows 8 isn't that bad switch as I was thinking. Also could you mention some good deal on ultabooks. I saw Sony ultrabook for 650 or so next to this one but it still looks big and heavier than this S3. This is the closest you can get compared to a Macbook AIR. I may be wrong, but would like to hear from you

Thank you for your quick reply, nitrags. I bought a Lenovo ultrabook for almost the same price on Thanksgiving day. But I didn't realize I needed to pick up on the day after so Fry's cancelled it. That Lenovo seems to have slightly better specs than this Acer (i5 vs i3). I have not seen any good deals since, so your Acer is probably the best deal at this time.
