I am thinking of buying this but for different reasons.
My cable box does not have HDMI output. Comcast wants to charge me 8$/month to upgrade the box. Can I run my coaxial cable from the Comcast box to this unit and use the HDMI signal for my TV ?

Looks like a great deal, i just don't know about having to mod something so it will work on my Samsung. Looks like something i would normally bite on but it seems from the guy on google+ on his comments people are not getting 100% success rate with the mod with powering the remote box.

This does not have a coaxial input for wireless transmission. If your comcast box has RCA or full component then you are golden.

It seems like even with the mod it doesn't fully function (can't change inputs), so I think I'll pass unless someone comes up with a better mod.
