The rule of thumb from a comfort perspective and temperature...add 15 degrees to the rating. The rating is based on lowest temp to survive i.e. at 20 degrees F you would freeze you ass off but at 35+ you would be fine.
Thanks OP...good deal on a decent bag. Note, because of weight this is not a great backpacking bag...you have to spend the big bucks on the real down wool bags.
