Inks are "starter cartridges," so not worth quite as much as replacement carts. It's also an HP printer, which means it's going to break, and then you're going to get customer service runaround for hours upon hours, and then they're going to replace it with a refurb that will break too.
For me the cost of the printer is secondary. The big question is whether it does what you need (features), and takes in-expensive after market ink.

According to the mention in this post elsewhere, the cartridges included for the 3056A are 61XL full-sized cartridges.

A HP employee suggests a cleaning and reset -- which you don't have to for a new printer -- and then asks for a "kudos star". So much for tech support! If anyone bought this, can you confirm the carts are xl? Now we're upto $0.08, I guess.
