I bought a FoodSaver two black fridays ago. Love it. I will say that people having trouble sealing are likely trying to get away with using too little bag material. You are going to have to allow a few inches above the top of the food level to get a good seal. With that said, there are several sellers on eBay selling bag material at much better prices than FoodSaver and it works great in the machines..
