Many titles eligible but not all of them. Look for the "Buy 2 Get 1 Free" notification on the product page. Many titles sold out online.
Tip: Online did not show Super Mario Bros as an eligible title but it rang up as part of the promotion with no issues at my brick and mortar store. Most titles seemed to be included at the B&M store according to endcap signage.
Fine print: Buy two, get one free on select Wii U videogame items. Discount applied at checkout. Discount not applicable to gift wrap, tax, or shipping and handling charges. May not be applied to previous orders. Offer expires 12/22/2012 at 11:59pm ET.
Edit: Looks like you save $5 when you buy (1) Wii U game, so that makes it $49.99 here as well if you buy 1.

What is the difference between the Wii and Wii U versions? Wouldn't they be the same?

Hey guys! I just tried this new thing called Google and answered my OWN question:
Google said: What’s the difference between the Wii and future Wii U versions of Skylanders Giants? The Wii and Wii U versions use the same portal. They are completely compatible in every way except for the software. The Wii software will work on the Wii U (although the game won’t be in HD if they play with Wii software), but the Wii U software will not work on the Wii. Toys will work on both platforms. Here’s how Skylanders Giants on Wii U uses the Wii U GamePad to add unique touch & on-screen features to your Skylander experience. Not exactly true. The Wii one had a wireless portal, the Wii U has a wired portal. IMO, the wired one is better because the wireless ate through the batteries and was less reliable. Both portals will work on either however.

Nice point. But just to be clear for other readers, the software for the Wii U does not work with the Wii.

yes target must be yelling at employees who price match -- my experience is that no one is clear what their price match is and they just say no. Their actual price match policy is printed up and the majority of the print up is the exceptions...
