It charges your phone and projects a bright enough image to do a low light presentation. The "sweet spot" that I found was about a 4 foot image. At that distance, it seemed to have just enough diatnce to where it didn't wash out too badly, but gave the large enough format to be useful. Just be warned, it isn't super bright, it works, but make sure you are OK having the lights dimmed ...

Price dropped on Amazon, check there before buying at Target, I snagged one new for $159.99 since sold out but other sellers are matching the new price point.
